Arkansas is working to massively expand the prison industrial complex through prison expansion, sentence enhancements, militarized policing, and other "tough on crime" policies that further the carceral state. In partnership with the Arkansas Justice Reform Coalition, we have identified six legislative priorities that will help move us toward a more just and equitable Arkansas.
The Justice For All Packet extends protections for people sentenced to death or life in prison below the age twenty-one, eliminates money bail, eliminates fines and fees for juveniles, deciminalizes drug paraphanalia, creates transparency around Arkansas's use of solitary confinement, and fully abolishes slavery from the state constitution.
